| Little Bones Ottawa is a weekend band that predominately
covers the music of The Tragically Hip. In addition to supporting
various charities when we can, we also like to promote local original acts
by having them share the stage with us to get exposure.
While we have not yet been successful in helping a new band make it big,
there is one story we'd like to share:
In 1986, a Rolling Stones Tribute band called The Blushing Brides was
playing at Larry's Hideaway in Toronto, and the opening band was The Tragically
Hip. This gig provided an opportunity for The Hip to be seen by Jake
Gold and Alan Gregg of Jacob J. Gold & Associates, and they subsequently
signed The Hip after the show. Cool.

Manning's Web site (former member of The Hip), and confirmed by Maurice
Raymond of The Blushing Brides.
